There are two types of Disclosures available with VSDS. We have provided all the guidance and information you need to start the appropriate process for your organisation/group below.

Online PVG Disclosure Application Request
PVG Scheme Members
The Online PVG Disclosure is for positions that require PVG scheme membership for working with children and/or protected adults. You can assess if a position within your organisation is a regulated role and request this application type if required.

Level 2 Online Disclosure Application Request
Previously known as Police Act disclosures (Standard and Enhanced disclosures)
The Level 2 Online Disclosures are for positions within your organisation that are not regulated roles and are eligible for a Level 2 disclosure. You can view the criteria to access these disclosures below.

Sample Disclosure Tracking Form:
The sample disclosure tracking form is a useful tool for your organisation to keep track of applications sent to us. This excel spread sheet lets you collate the important information such as the applicants name, barcode number and date posted to our office. Click the icon to download the excel form.
Removal of Interest Form:
Please use this online form if your organisation has volunteers/paid staff who no longer carry out regulated role with your organisation. Click the icon to access the online form.
Level 2 Online Disclosure Application Request
Complete this application form if:
Level 2 - (a) Individuals are working/volunteering in:
- A care service (registered with the care inspectorate) and the position is not a regulated role as defined in the PVG Act. (e.g administrator role in a care service).
- A health service and the position is not a regulated role as defined in the PVG Act, and the individual has access to persons in receipt of the health services in the course of that person’s normal duties.
- A body concerned primarily with the provision of counselling or other support to individuals who are or appear to be victims of, or witnesses to, offences, and the individuals have access to personal information about such individuals.
- The Scottish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and, as part of the duties, may carry out the killing of animals.
- A prison
