Training and Events
Volunteer Scotland’s Training and Events programme is designed to strengthen, support, and inspire volunteering across Scotland. Drawing on our national expertise and partnerships, we deliver a rich programme of events, roundtables, workshops, and learning sessions that equip organisations, volunteer managers, employers, policymakers, and volunteers with the insight and skills needed to create meaningful, high-quality volunteering experiences.

Our events support the ambitions of the Volunteering Action Plan by helping to make volunteering more inclusive, accessible, and impactful. Each session provides opportunities to share knowledge, build connections, shape strategy and practice, and contribute to Scotland’s national vision for volunteering.
Alongside events, our Training and Events hub offers a wide range of training opportunities – from free Open University courses (Free to access any time and therefore have no start/end date or time) to practical online workshops – supporting highquality volunteer practice and helping organisations to design positive, inclusive, and wellsupported volunteering programmes.
Integrated within the Knowledge Gateway, this hub provides a central space to develop skills, explore best practice, and stay informed about Scotland’s volunteering landscape.
