New 'Online Result Service' is live

Volunteer Scotland Disclosure Services (VSDS) operates under Disclosure Scotland's Online Result Service.

The Online Result Service replaces the previous Certificate Process. It’s a faster, more user-friendly, and accessible experience. This change is also an important development in moving towards the implementation of the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020.

What does this mean for your Organisation

  • The Online Results will now be shared with you via your applicant.
  • Once the application is complete and the online results are available, the applicant will receive an email from Disclosure Scotland disclosurescotland@notifications.service.gov.uk
  • In the email confirmation from Disclosure Scotland, the applicant will be asked to create OR log into a ‘ScotAccount’ so that they can view and share their online results.
  • The applicant will then have the option to view and share the online result to the Signatory email address used on the initial Online Application Request Form. The Signatory will have 14 days to open the link.
  • The Signatory will need to refer to the ‘Sample Disclosure Tracking Form’ they created for the applicant’s date of birth and T Number. This information is required to view the online results, and you have three attempts to enter this correctly. If you fail, you will need to contact the applicant to have them re-share it.
  • Once the online result has been opened you will have 15 minutes to check the information. If you close it within the 15 minutes you will not be able to reopen it. If it is left open, it will close automatically in 15 minutes. If more time is needed, then you will have to ask the applicant to re-share. The applicant will be able to share as many times as required.
