Volunteer Story - Milly
Milly was awarded a British Empire Medal last year in recognition of the support she has provided throughout her life to marginalised communities and people in need.
She first started volunteering when she was just 14 years old and has now done it for six decades in areas ranging from Aberdeenshire to Kent!
Milly is a former healthcare assistant who decided to support Marie Curie because she ‘always admired the work and dedication’ here – since joining us as a volunteer, she has served refreshments to the people we care for at our Edinburgh Hospice and bereaved people at our monthly support groups. She is a volunteer superstar!
