'How are we doing?’ is just the start: our latest Stakeholder Survey Report

As always, we’re very grateful to our stakeholders as it’s through your time and detailed considerations, across a wide range of areas, that we’re able to improve. As the national centre for Volunteering, every stakeholder response is important.

We continue to do a number of things well, including; our highly rated contributions to influencing Government policy, the high quality and impact of our Research, our key role around delivering Volunteers’ Week, and our continued good work around the Volunteering Action Plan in its second year. I could list more positives.

As the adage goes, past performance is no guarantee of future success – and no excuse for resting on our laurels. We’re listening when you say that we can do more to raise awareness of our work and demonstrate our impact. You’ve told us that our collaborative work – whilst rated highly – needs to expand further and develop in key areas.

This year we asked more specific questions around your priorities e.g. which policy issues or research areas rank highest. This type of input is key as we develop our new Strategy, one we aim to launch in late Autumn. It also signals a change in emphasis, a start if you will, that moves our conversation with you from ‘how are we doing?’ to ‘how are you doing?’ and ‘here’s where we can help’. We look forward to a deeper conversation with you and to improving your experience of us.
