Volunteers' Week 2025 - Join us from Monday 2nd - Sunday 8th June!
We are delighted to announce the return of the Volunteers’ Week campaign for its 41st year, along with the launch of a brand-new UK-wide website!
Every year,14.2 million volunteers across the UK dedicate their time to making a difference in their communities. This June, the nation will come together to celebrate these incredible individuals through events like parties, award ceremonies and coffee mornings, expressing gratitude to those who give selflessly to help others.
This year’s campaign, led by the UK Volunteering Forum (with Volunteer Scotland coordinating for Scotland), calls on all volunteer-involving organisations to join a UK-wide programme of celebrations from 2nd to 8th June 2025 to recognise the remarkable contributions of their volunteers.

“People across the UK give their own time, for free, to help charities, voluntary groups, organisations, events and neighbours and we want to show them all just how incredible we think they are. Last year 14.2 million people gifted their time gifted their time in the name of helping others and we want to shout about how proud and grateful we are to every single volunteer.”
Alan Stevenson, CEO Volunteer Scotland

"At Sky, National Volunteers’ Week is the ideal opportunity for us to make some noise in celebration of our community heroes, our charity partners and their extraordinary impact! And hopefully inspire others to play their part and join our mission by giving the gift of time and expertise. By supporting and spotlighting the campaign across Sky it helps us to boost participation in our Time to Care CSR programme, champion our people, show that there’s more than one way to volunteer, and encourage our people to be the change that we want to see in their communities and themselves!"
Claire Du Preez Communities Programme Manager, SKY
As well as a crucial opportunity to thank volunteers and recognise the value of their time, passion and skills, Volunteers’ Week also acts as a chance to inspire others to give volunteering a go.
Many will take part in awards ceremonies, coffee mornings and days out during the week, plus experiences will be available for people to have a go themselves.
