Volunteer Scotland learning and development programme.  Our programme has been designed to assist individuals and organisations with the development of volunteer participation. Through our unique learning approach, individuals and organisations explore their understanding of volunteering, its current trends and best practice.

    Redeveloped course, previously 'Volunteer Management - The Essentials'

    The 3 day course split over 12 weeks will explore everything you need to know about involving volunteers. You will be challenged to think beyond what’s needed and gain an understanding of today’s volunteers in Scotland and what your organisation needs to have in place to give them a great experience.

  • Building Positive Staff and Volunteer Relations
    Our Face to face training has been postponed until further notice.

    We hope both volunteers and staff will have a good experience of volunteering, to ensure we support one another and work together to achieve our organisation’s goals. This course gives you the chance to discuss with other volunteer managers the tensions that might arise between staff and volunteer teams, and to share experience of the practical steps to take to build positive staff and volunteer relations.
