When We Need You
About Walk Together - Bowel Cancer UK
Would you like to support us at our Walk Together event! We are looking for volunteers to help us marshal or help out at the event.
Walk Together is our fantastic set of walks taking place throughout September all across the UK. They are a wonderful way to bring people together so that they can show their support for those undergoing treatment, remember loved ones we have lost and help stop bowel cancer. It’s for people of all ages and abilities.
We are looking for volunteers who could commit to 5 hours (9.30 am – 2.30 pm) to help us run our event.
We are looking for marshals where you will get the chance to support our participants, encourage them and keep them safe. The route crosses a main road before Inverleith Park. You will help participants cross safely using the pedestrian crossings and direct them to the next path.
We are also looking for support at our start and finish areas as well as our half way point.
The opportunity would suit team volunteering or a group of friends! So if you are energetic, friendly, motivated, enthusiastic and what to be a part of this special event, we would love to hear from you!
Full event training will be given which will include event logistics, roles for the day and walk the route. We will also provide refreshments!
