About Resolution Run 2019
The Stroke Association’s award winning 5k and 10k Resolution Run series returns to Cramond Foreshore on Sunday 3rd of March and we’re looking for volunteers to make it even bigger and better this year!
Volunteers are required to cover a range of roles, from marshalling, to helping on the registration desk, to handing out goody bags. All roles will help us ensure that the event runs smoothly and safely and that our wonderful runners have a great day.
There are countless benefits volunteers will get from their time with us, from enhancing their CVs, to making friends, to helping conquer stroke in Scotland. It’s also great fun!
The Stroke Association is the UK’s leading stroke charity. All funds raised at the event will stay in Scotland and go towards raising awareness of stroke, supporting people who have had a stroke and funding vital stroke research.
About Stroke Association Scotland
We are the UK’s leading stroke charity. We deliver stroke services across the UK, campaign for better stroke care, invest in research and fundraise to expand our reach to as many stroke survivors as possible.
There are over 1.2 million stroke survivors in the UK with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That’s one stroke every five minutes.
Even though you are now twice as likely to survive a stroke compared to 20 years ago, stroke is still the fourth single largest cause of death in the UK.
We know we need to change how people think about stroke and challenge the myths surrounding it. We push for greater awareness of stroke and its warning signs and campaign for better stroke care.
