About Collecting during the Fringe for Waverley Care

2019 is Waverley Care’s 28th year of working alongside the Pleasance, Edinburgh’s largest and most vibrant Fringe venue. It’s a unique and exciting fundraising relationship which raises over £40,000 each year and we’d love you to be part of it!

Volunteer Roles

Fringe Collection Volunteers: Will be collecting money for Waverley Care from audiences at Fringe Venue 33, Pleasance Courtyard. This might be shaking a bucket after comedy shows or, for the more gregarious, chatting with festival-goers in the Courtyard. We are on site every day from 1.30pm throughout the afternoon and evening. Our shifts tend to be from 2-6pm or 6.30-10pm (with a short break mid-shift) but we can be flexible within these times if you can't commit to a full shift.

About Waverley Care

Waverley Care is Scotland’s HIV and Hepatitis C charity. We are a community of diverse and inspiring people united by the same goal, to make a positive difference in the lives of people affected by HIV or Hepatitis C in Scotland. Our work is focused on prevention, education, testing and support. Throughout Scotland we’re reducing new HIV and Hepatitis C infections, getting people diagnosed and supporting those affected in whatever ways they need. Through our work, we are also challenging HIV and Hepatitis C related stigma, tackling health inequalities and promoting good sexual health.
