Top tips for advertising opportunities

If you are preparing to recruit new volunteers these few tips for advertising your opportunities on our search site could help you find the right person for your roles.
There is no need to use the word 'Volunteer' in your opportunity title, all the opportunities on the search site are volunteer roles.
Keep the first few lines of your opportunity description catchy and to the point. This is the text volunteers will see as they scan through the search results, so you want to grab their attention.
Remember to feature any training and support information in your listing. For example, info on expenses, training opportunities, taster sessions etc. is important for volunteers to know and helps them to make choices.
If your opportunity is home-based or suitable for groups, remember to have these options flagged when your opportunity is published. These types of opportunities are often popular but can be tricky to find if not flagged correctly.
If you need to, you can direct the 'I want to volunteer' link to your online application form. This over-rides the standard register interest function.
