Service information during Covid-19
20 March 2020
Volunteer Scotland is currently adhering to the advice provided by government around social distancing and remote-working where possible.
In the interest of customer and employee safety during the outbreak, we have reduced our customer-facing services as follows:
Visits: we ask visitors and training delegates not to attend our premises if you are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms (a high temperature or new continuous cough) or if anyone in your household is experiencing symptoms and you are required to self-isolate. You should follow the “COVID-19: Stay at Home Guidance” for people with confirmed or possible Coronavirus COVID-19 infection, available on the NHS Inform website.
Training and Events: all face-to-face and on premises training has been cancelled until further notice. Booked on delegates have been informed not to attend. As an alternative, we have a range of online courses available and are planning learning and practice sessions by conference call, we'll provide details soon.
Meetings: all face-to-face meetings or travel to meetings have been cancelled until further notice. Remote conferencing will be used as an alternative where possible.
Room hire: we are not providing a room hire facility at this time. We've informed any existing room hires of this change. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Advice and support: we will continue to provide volunteering practice advice to organisations and individuals remotely, through our enquiry service:
Disclosure Services: we're currently operating Business as Usual although this is expected to change. See here for latest updates.
