Add your support for the health and care Brexit impact review

14 January 2019

Brendan O'Hara MP has tabled a Private Members Bill in the House of Commons and you can add your support.

Uk _parliament _logo _bIt is clear that changes in rules related to the EU workforce, medicines research and funding have the potential to adversely impact health and social care. The Bill, if passed by the House of Commons, would require an independent evaluation of the impact of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018, and of Brexit, upon the health and social care sectors across the 4 nations.

The bill is currently supported by more than 90 organisations and its Second Reading is scheduled to take place in the House of Commons on 25th January 2019. It is hoped that there be at least 100 supporting organisations for the Bill before its Second Reading.

If your organisation would be keen to offer your support to the principle that an independent evaluation should be undertaken, please get in touch with Andrew Strong, Assistant Director (Policy and Communications) at the ALLIANCE at andrew.strong@alliance-scotland.org.uk or by phone on 0141 404 0231.
