Exploring Volunteer Practice
A series of one-hour online discussions which will explore some of the ‘hot’ topics in volunteering.
These sessions are free of charge and open to anyone who has an interest in what it’s like to involve volunteers. In each of the sessions, we’ll walk you through some of the key issues and then open it up so that you are able to discuss some of the challenges and successes you are facing. Don’t worry if you are new to the topic though, as this is your opportunity to learn from both the facilitator and other participants, all free of charge!
To take part in any session, please follow the links below to book your space. You can choose as many sessions as you’d like, but you’ll need to book each session separately. Spaces are limited to 10 people per session.
You’ll need headphones and a microphone to be able to take part in the discussion; please see our Get Started with Online Learning guide for further information.
All bookings are made online via Eventbrite, please click book now to complete the booking form to secure a place. If you have any questions, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or on 01786 479593. We look forward to meeting you!
Research indicates that people who are at risk of experiencing exclusion can benefit from volunteering. We know, however, that many people face barriers to becoming a volunteer. As we start to consider how to support and encourage more inclusive volunteering, this session is an opportunity to share the challenges faced by volunteer managers in making volunteering accessible for all people.
