About Opportunity

Provide support to leaders with activities in order to deliver the Boys' Brigade programme each week (approx. 2 hours per week). The role will require the volunteer to: * Have an understanding of the issues affecting Boys and young men * Be sympathetic to the aims and objectives of the Boys' Brigade. * Be able to work in a non-judgemental and non-discriminatory manner. * Have the ability to plan and organise. * Any other specialist skills or knowledge, which may be beneficial

About 1st Barrhead Boys' Brigade

The Boys Brigade as a voluntary youth organisation seeks to serve young people from the local community aged 5-18 years. We offer a curriculum for excellence approved programme which aims to promote active living, health & wellbeing, life skills and leadership & adventure opportunities. This will serve young people as they progress towards the world of work and being a responsible citizen.

Skills & Experience

None - just an enthusiasm to work with children/ young people.

Travel Details

St Andrews Church, Ralston Road, Barrhead. Weekly on a Thursday, 6.15-8pm or 7-9.30pm.

Restrictions

Applicants must be willing to obtain a PVG application.
