About Opportunity

You will be fully supported with training and mentoring by your local Active Schools Coordinator. This opportunity will help develop your leadership and coaching abilities, as well as contribute towards gaining awards such as the nationally recognised Saltire Volunteer Award. There will be an opportunity to gain both sport-specific qualifications as well as generic delivery qualifications (e.g. first aid) that will stand you in good stead for the future.

About Active Schools Moray

Create more opportunities for children to take part in sport and physical activity by linking schools with sports clubs, running events and blocks of activity sessions, and recruiting and training volunteers as coaches and leaders.

Skills & Experience

Enthusiasm and an interest in delivery of sport and/or physical activity (including dance). All necessary training will be provided.

Travel Details

Entirely dependant on where the individual lives and is wiling to deliver or assist in delivery. Where travel is necessary, costs will be re-imbursed.

Frequency & Commitment

A school term (although we would hope for longer). In some cases, it may be that the volunteer is involved in one specific event.

Minimium Age

Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age.
