About Tough 10 Edinburgh
Cancer Research UK's Tough 10 is a series of epic 10k runs. No obstacles - this is the chance to take on some of the UK's toughest terrain. Double-knot your trainers and prepare to thigh-burn your way to raising serious money to help beat cancer sooner.
With three levels of toughness available, choose your ultimate running challenge from events taking place at iconic venues across the UK
- Event Day Volunteer - Whatever time you can join us at the event, there are so many ways you can help out on event day, whether you’re setting up marquees and putting out flags and banners or getting water to the start line and handing out medals at the finish. We’re on the lookout for volunteers with a proactive attitude and loads of enthusiasm to join the gang.
- Course Marshal Volunteer - Inspire, cheer and motivate participants by covering one of the marshal points on the course. This crucial role ensures the event runs smoothly and participants feel motivated. This role is perfect for team players with great communication skills who can use their initiative when dealing with anything that may occur on the course.
About Cancer Research UK
Our vision is to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.
In the 1970s, less than a quarter of people with cancer survived. But over the last 40 years, survival has doubled – today half will survive.
Our ambition is to accelerate progress and see three-quarters of people surviving the disease within the next 20 years.
Our new strategy will give us the foundations we need to tackle the challenges ahead.
