Payroll Giving 30th anniversary celebrations
10 April 2017
Payroll Giving is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.
Rick Astley releases Never Gonna Give You Up, IKEA opens its first UK store and French and Saunders airs for the first time - 1987 was a pretty important year. It's also the year Payroll Giving was introduced - and in the past thirty years, £2 billion has been raised for good causes!
It's time to celebrate!
Over the next few months, they're telling the stories of six individuals and what Payroll Giving means to them, from donors to charities. So pull up a chair, get a slice of cake, and join the party.
The case studies include Gary from Royal Mail, who has been giving for 25 years, and Taylor, one of ASOS’ youngest and newest givers, who set up Payroll Giving in memory of his mum. Photographs and case studies are now on the APGO website here.
Across the next 12 weeks these case studies will be showcased across social media, using the hashtag #PayrollGivingAt30. Content will show why employees, employers and good causes can all benefit from Payroll Giving, and mark the momentous amount of money Payroll Giving has raised in 30 years.
